Seriously though, Stiles has had a crush on the same person for years and years and years and even though it won’t work out, he clearly is loyal in his affections, and if he’s anything like his dad I mean, Papa Stilinski still wears his wedding ring long after his wife has passed, and ugh, above trust, Derek is searching for loyalty, because everyone betrays or leaves him, from Kate to Peter to Scott (even though he pulled through in the end, he still lied to Derek and betrayed his trust), and Erica and Boyd left, and Isaac stayed but he stayed with Scott, not Derek, but Stiles is loyal above all else, we’ve seen him be loyal to Scott no matter what Scott put him through, and family is so important to him and ugh ugh, imagine if he gave that loyalty to Derek, I’m sorry, OTP feels.

#and they both do this thing where it never occurs to them that they might be important to people #I wonder how long they’d spend loving each other without expecting anything in return before they finally realized it was mutual. #How many times Stiles would be there for him without him having to ask before he noticed#or how many times Derek would put himself on the line to protect Stiles before Stiles realized he mattered.

Transatlanticism by *MedicatedManiac
If you listen to Death Cab for Cutie’s song’s Tiny Vessels and Transatlanticism back to back, it tells a story of a man. About a person who he didn’t love and had to leave and how everything came together that he did in fact love them and so he tried to find them again but it was to late to reach them.
